Explore Career Interests: Many students have a general idea of career interests but may not have a clear understanding of the day-to-day realities of those professions. Job shadowing provides a hands-on way to explore various career paths.

Gain Valuable Experience: Job shadowing allows students to witness firsthand how concepts taught in the classroom translate to real-world scenarios. This experience will give insight into professional life, workplace etiquette and the day-to-day tasks of different career paths. It’s a great way to build a resume with real-world experience!

Network with Professionals: Job shadowing not only allows students to observe professionals in action, but also provides an opportunity to make a connection. These connections can be invaluable to students and could lead to internships, mentorship opportunities, or even job offers!

Earn Community Service Hours: By participating, students will earn community service hours toward the August 1, 2026 community service deadline.
