A successful Director of COMPLETE cares deeply about student success, is hard-working and adaptable while maintaining a positive mindset. Directors must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and alignment with tnAchieves mission and values. Directors thrive in a fast-paced and data-driven work environment. They enjoy building relationships with post-secondary institution staff to expand their resource knowledge to help students succeed. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a team while connecting with many stakeholders in education and to utilize skills like public speaking, time management, and database management and reporting (Salesforce).
The Director of COMPELTE – Northeast TN works with an average cohort size of 400 students and manages three COMPLETE coaches. The role requires supporting students directly by serving as a trusted accountability partner and connector to community resources, while supporting a team providing direct student support services.
Directors are responsible for their individual student metrics while motivating and aligning their team to reach their metrics. Directors do this through individual and team meetings, routine support and coaching as well as clear communication regarding process and expectations.

Communicates daily with students and parents
Prepares high school student meeting materials and execute assigned mandatory meetings for TN Promise
Conducts one-on-one and group meetings on college campuses
Maintains student database including, but not limited to, community service verification, student meeting attendance, intervention, connection and grant documentation and processing student excuse forms and ineligibility arguments
Assists with planning, application processing and administering tnAchieves Summer Programs
Attends individual and team meetings as scheduled by direct supervisor and leadership
Conducts regular individual and team meetings
Completes administrative management tasks (approving PTO, weekly team summaries, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree required
Supervisory experience required
Consistently practices positivity and adaptability
Identifies and analyzes problems through a solutions-oriented lens
Embraces learning new skills and asks questions to gain full understanding
Communicates proactively and effectively
Takes initiative and is prepared
Willingness to travel regionally on a weekly basis
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Suite and Salesforce
